Executive Committee Meeting of the BSC in Białystok
lunch-to-lunch between September 16-17
Dear Friends,
I hope you did all enjoy a very nice summer holiday. Now it is time to redirect some of your attention to our Baltic Sea Commission work, and the next Executive Committee meeting.
The meeting is to be held in Białystok, lunch-to-lunch between September 16-17.
The special theme of the meeting will be: The Eastern Partnership of the EU. Podlaskie Region will guide us on this topic and give practical examples of the relations with Belarus and Ukraine.
CPMR Director Mr Patrick Anvroin will join us to high light, in particular, Maritime, but also other issues on the CPMR agenda today.
Please find attached draft practical information for our Ex Com meeting in Białystok.
The meeting venue shall be the Podlaskie Marshal’s Office, 1 Wyszyńskiego St., Białystok, which located in the city centre, not far away from the recommended hotels.
Our host will kindly be providing transfers to and from Białystok, so you don’t need to worry about how to get to Białystok from Warsaw airport. We advice you to chose a flight arriving Warsaw no later than 10 am - as the car transfer will take approximately 2-3 hours.
As far as we have seen, there are many flights between Western Europe , Scandinavia and Poland in the morning and evening, so it ought to be possible for most of you to make it to Poland on the 16th September in the morning and leave on 17th in the evening.

CPMR Baltic Sea Commission
The 17th CPMR Baltic Sea Commission General Assembly will be held between Thursday 24 May 12.00 - Friday 25 May 14.30, in Umeå, Sweden, hosted by Region Västerbotten. After the meeting, there will be an excursion. The meeting venue will be Hotel Scandic Plaza Umeå (Storgatan 40, Umeå), where participants can also stay.
The programme will be focusing on renewable energy on Thursday. On Friday, there will be sessions on various policy areas including Maritime, Transport and Multi-Level Governance issues and cooperation with Russia.
The election of the President and members of the Executive Committee of Baltic Sea Commission will also be on agenda.
